lxcopy - the `locked file xcopy tool` for Administrators

Makes a logical copy of a complete file structure including locked or used files from any
server or workstation.
Makes a logical clone from a system there are no restrictions during copy.
Large files are copied five times faster as by the explorer
it is similar useable like the xcopy-command at the command line. No installation required
lxcopy copies recursive:
• regular files/folders
• opened files/folders
• locked files/folders
• exclusive locked files from apps or system
• system files
• fastcopy - algorithm for large files
• scriptable from eslave
samples for using:
• backup of your live database
• logical copy of your system files
• logical copy of your sysvol
• logical copy of your activdirectory-database
• logical copy of your system files
• logical copy of any life database to an other server
• make a bootable copy of your running system to another disk at the network
• create running backup of a workstation or server
requirements:
• windows 2000/xp client and server
• ntfs-partitions/volumes
• administrative rights
• no installation or reboot
known problems:
• no copy of compressed or encrypted files
• no copy of some files less then 3kb
